Fostering Another Chance Pet Rescue does not have a shelter facility, so all of our animals awaiting adoption are placed in foster homes. The number of animals we can help depends on how many fosters we have, so please consider opening your heart and your home to temporarily foster one of our pets. We are a no-kill
organization, so unless medically warranted, no animal in our program is ever
euthanized to make space for more animals. Because of this, we are
perpetually "over-booked". Another Chance covers the
costs of all veterinary care for our foster pets. We ask that our fosters cover the basic necessities (food, water,
toys, litter), and most importantly lots of TLC. If finances are tight, we can assist with
the essentials. We will place the pet on Petfinder and will work with you to set up visits. Open your heart and your home to a foster
and you won't be sorry... especially when you realize that without you,
his/her life could not be saved! Cat/Kitten We need people to help
foster cats and kittens we rescue to help prepare them for adoption. We do ask that you keep fostered cats in a
small room separate from your other pets.
Fostering kittens, a cat,
or a ‘special needs’ cat provides a positive and uplifting experience for
children who may be curious about veterinarian sciences or just have a soft
spot for those in need! -Hard to Place: Some people have experience taming extremely shy
cats or feral cats or kittens, are you one of them? -Kittens: During the Spring and Summer months, we are
swamped with litter after litter of kittens that need homes! -Special Needs: Some cats/kittens need individualized care and
support after being rescued, and busy fosters cannot
always spend enough time with these special cats. -Older Cats: People often want the newest of kittens, making it
hard for older cats to find a home. Help us house these cats in the meantime! Dog/Puppy Dog or puppy fostering is not as hard as it may
seem. A dog foster would be
responsible for giving the dog or puppy love and attention as well as the
daily essentials (food, water, and potty breaks). Most of our fosters
have pets of their own; cats and dogs, and the rescue dog/puppy just becomes
a temporary addition to the family! |
